What is Systmconnect?

The quick and easy way to get in touch and get the care and services you need.

  • If you need an appointment, we'll arrange one with you. 
  • Request fit notes, test results, medication and more. 

Our Clinical Team of GP's, Advance Nurse Practitioners and Paramedics will triage your Systmconnect form to see if it needs urgent treatment.

What to expect from our reception staff

  • Our reception team are trained to ask the questions needed to refer you to the right person. They will take the details needed from you and if you are unable to, our receptionists can also complete a Systmconnect form on your behalf. Our GPs consider that, this is the best way to ensure that your call is dealt with by the most appropriate member of our team.

 

  • If you are booked for a telephone appointment, please ensure you answer all withheld numbers on the day of your appointment. Our clinicians will attempt to contact you twice but if you miss both calls, please call us to re-arrange.

 

Extended hours

We offer extended opening hours on a Tuesday and Thursday morning every week at Wyke Regis Surgery for nursing appointments. We also hold nurse clinics on the second and fourth Saturday of each month. If you feel you would benefit from one of these extended opening hours appointments, please contact our reception team.

Home visits

If you are housebound and need an appointment, we will do a home visit. We will phone you first to understand what you need.

To request a home visit, it’s helpful if you phone the practice before 10:30am.

Cancelling or changing an appointment

We try hard to provide you with a high quality efficient service but we need your help to avoid wasted time through unattended appointments. We have a policy whereby patients who fail to attend more than three appointments over a six-month period may be contacted by the surgery and where they continue to fail to attend further appointments, may possibly be requested to register with a practice elsewhere

To cancel your appointment:

  • use your NHS account (through the NHS website or NHS App)
  • phone us on 01305 782226, Monday to Friday from 8:30am
  • reply CANCEL to your appointment reminder text message

If you need help when we are closed

If you need medical help now, use NHS 111 online or Call 111.

NHS 111 online is for people aged 5 and over. Call 111 if you need help for a child under 5.

Call 999 in a medical or mental health emergency. This is when someone is seriously ill or injured and their life is at risk.

  • If you would prefer to consult with the doctor or nurse by phone, face-to-face or by text or email
  • If you need an interpreter
  • If you have any other access or communication needs
