Physiotherapist

You are now able to see a First Contact Physiotherapist (FCP) at the surgery, whose role is to assess patients with soft tissue, muscle and joint pain. They can provide faster access to an expert diagnosis, advice and exercises. Where appropriate, they can also refer you on to hospital services, order tests and write prescriptions. Citizens Advice Bureau

Citizens Advice will be re-starting their service with us from Friday 18th June 2021. Please call reception to book a face-to-face or telephone consultation with Ann MacDonald.

Changes to Midwife Referrals

All pregnant women in Dorset should be advised to use the Maternity Matters Dorset online self-referral form https://maternitymattersdorset.nhs.uk/refer/ (women genuinely unable to get online should be advised to call 01305 253315 and a member of staff can complete on their behalf)

Travel Vaccinations

If you're planning to travel outside the UK, you may need to be vaccinated against some of the serious diseases found in other parts of the world.

 

Non-NHS Services

The NHS doesn't cover some services, such as insurance claim forms, private sick notes, some GP letters and employment medicals. Therefore, we charge for these services in line with BMA Guidelines. For an appointment or more information , please contact the Secretary Team on 01305 782226 opt2.

To reduce the waiting times for private medicals, Medi2data (NHS accredited service) are currently completing most of our reports. Please see the poster below for more information and how to contact them if needed.
