COVID-19 UPDATES from the surgery

COVID-19 UPDATE DECMBER 2020-

Weymouth and Portland are pleased to be receiving some coronavirus vaccine shortly.

Government guidance has advised which patients should be invited, which is the over 80’s.

As you may be aware from the media this first supply of vaccine is very limited.

We have had to prioritise invites, again following Government guidance.

All those invited for this first wave of vaccines will receive a letter.

It may be that not all household members or carers, who are also over 80, are able to be invited this time.

As soon as further vaccines are received we will be able to invite more patients.  We do not know for certain when this will be but this is likely to be over the next few weeks.

Thank you for your understanding.

COVID-19 UPDATE 5th Nov 2020-

We have been working hard to ensure the safety of our staff and our patients. The Lanehouse Surgery has now re-opened to patients with appointments, however please bare with us as we are still experiencing staff shortages.

COVID-19 UPDATE 26th Oct 2020-

We are aware of confirmed cases of Covid-19 within our practice. All close contacts have been identified and are self-isolating. Please be assured no patients have been affected by these cases.

Due to staff shortages we have temporarily closed our Lanehouse Surgery. Anyone with an appointment will be seen at the Wyke Regis Surgery instead.

Please don’t attend the surgery unless you have been invited for an appointment. It is taking longer for us to answer your calls at the moment so please bear with us and keep trying, we will get to your call as soon as we can.
