Nurse Practitioners

Our Advanced Nurse Practitioners have undertaken further training and are qualified to examine, diagnose, and treat. They offer appointments, carry out home visits and work in close conjunction with the doctors and nurses. Our nurse practitioners can prescribe, refer and also provide holiday cover for doctor’s clinics.

Claire Homer

Advanced Nurse Practitioner

Claire qualified as an adult nurse in 1996 from Kingston University. She has worked in a variety of nursing roles where she has undertaken many extended practice courses, particularly in surgical care. Combining Claire’s roles in clinical practice and leadership with her desire to work at an advanced level has led her to complete the Masters level Advanced Nurse Practitioner qualification at Bournemouth University. Claire has recently joined the team at Wyke Medical Practice and is looking forward to the challenge and privilege of working in general practice.
When not at work Claire enjoys spending time with her family and friends, drinking good coffee and setting herself running challenges.
